    Minimum wage. Period.

It depends on where you live and work. Here in FL a busser typically make about 4 dollars an hr plus the tips from the wait staff which is usually about 2 percent of sales or 10 percent of their nightly tips (If you really hustle or have a cute face you may do better). So, just as for the wait staff your pay depends on the season and quality /quantity of patrons. However, to be more direct, bussers where I’ve worked report taking home an average of about 80 a nightshift when working at a place with steady business, Olive garden etc…

At my restaurant, bussers are guaranteed $25 a day (for lunch, I don’t know how it works at night). We tip out 15% of 15% of our sales, and if they don’t make $25, the house makes up the difference.

At the restaurant I work at, they are paid minimum wage. We do not tip out there, and the servers get to keep all the tips they earn, which is awesome.
